I can't wait to quilt some more... it has become an obsession really. I was sitting in a meeting today for work and my mind started wondering to my UFOs and which ones to work on for the October challenge I just saw. I mailed my first swap blocks today and my drive home from work was consumed with thinking of making a haunted house to go in the middle of the Halloween sampler that I will make from Spooky Lil' Swap.

My kitchen table has been taken over by the sewing machine and my stash is covering most of my living room... But I love it!

My first quilt was a mini quilt made in my youth group when I was 13. I must say it was not love at first quilt. I don't think I even have that anymore. Now as a quilt lover, I wish I did so I could see the progress.

My most prized quilt was a gift from my mother-in-law. I told her that I was making a quilt and she said that she had a couple of old quilts from her grandma. I asked to see them, so she got them out of the bottom of her linen closet to show me. I gushed about how lovely they were. She said, "You can have them. I don't like them at all, but have kept them because they were from family." She happily gave them to me and I have loved them everyday since then. They are hanging in my bedroom and I love to see something new every time I look at them (they are both scrap quilts).

My favorite quilt that I have made so far was a quilt for my friend's wedding. Sadly, I didn't take a picture, but it was a lot of fun to make.

I am excited to learn more and expand my quilting.
